3DLOOK has rolled out new voice-controlled feature ‘Hands-Free’ into all of its solutions. ‘Hands-Free’ is the first browser-based feature that enables consumers to receive precise body measurements and personalised size and fit recommendations without any third-party assistance, anytime and anywhere, for a safe and contactless shopping experience.
Unlike other solutions, ‘Hands-Free’ by 3DLOOK is completely browser-based: it is integrated into a customisable cross-platform web-based widget, so there is no need to download a separate app. Apparel brands and retailers can easily add fit and size recommendation widgets to their websites and product pages. The recently launched Made-to-Measure solution, ‘Mobile Tailor’, enables tailor-made businesses to send unique measurement links to their customers via SMS or email.
After clicking on the widget or link, customers are voice-guided through the quick capture process which uses just a front and side photo snapped from their smartphone (both iOS and Android compatible) that has been placed upright on a table. The photos are then processed to obtain landmarks on the user’s body and create a unique 3D model of each user after which the photos are deleted. The process takes about 30 seconds, doesn’t require any third-party assistance and works on any smartphone and any background.
Depending on the needs of the apparel brand or retailer, 3DLOOK suite of solutions can either generate personalised fit and size recommendations or deliver the measurements needed for made-to-measure businesses to manufacture perfectly fitted customised clothing. The solution and the new ‘Hands-Free’ feature is well-timed for the growing on-demand manufacturing model, the US-based company said in a press release.
“3DLOOK’s solution has recently been deployed in over 200 stores of a major multi-billion dollar retailer in the US, and is about to be deployed in +1000 more in the fall. Overall 3DLook works with more than 35 brands, retailers, and uniform companies around the world,” the release added.
